Karachi, Pakistan – August 7, 2026
Peace Ambassadors Society (PAS) proudly participated in a two-day Community Engagement Workshop, held from August 03–04, 2026, in Karachi, alongside UNICEF Pakistan, White Rice Impact, Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO), and Thar Education Alliance. The workshop brought together community stakeholders to strengthen collaborative efforts aimed at preventing child marriage in Pakistan.
Over the two days, the workshop created a platform for meaningful dialogue, bringing together mothers, fathers, religious leaders, community representatives, and development practitioners to address one critical question: How can communities work together to prevent child marriage?
Participants openly shared the realities and challenges contributing to child marriage within their communities while identifying practical, culturally appropriate, and sustainable solutions. Their insights highlighted the importance of ensuring that community voices remain at the center of designing interventions that are both effective and locally owned.

The workshop emphasized that ending child marriage requires collective action and strong partnerships among communities, civil society organizations, faith leaders, and development partners. By listening directly to those most affected, the participating organizations gained valuable perspectives that will help shape future child protection and community engagement initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Peace Ambassadors Society reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to protecting children’s rights through collaboration, advocacy, and community empowerment.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Sustainable change begins when communities are empowered to become part of the solution. Peace Ambassadors Society remains committed to working alongside partners and local communities to protect children and build a brighter future for the next generation.”

Peace Ambassadors Society extends its sincere appreciation to UNICEF Pakistan, White Rice Impact, Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO), Thar Education Alliance, and all community participants for their dedication, valuable contributions, and shared commitment to ending child marriage in Pakistan.
PAS believes that through meaningful community engagement, strong partnerships, and evidence-based interventions, Pakistan can move closer to a future where every child is protected, empowered, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
